Working for Al Furat Petroleum Company, AFPC – Syria , based in the training centre of Al Omar oil and gas oil field, in the capacity of (production operations and plant processes technical instructor).

Working for Rasheed Petroleum Company (Rashpetco): sponsored by (Egypt Maintenance Company - EMC), in the capacity of (Production Operations Supervisor), based in  offshore Rosetta gas Field , Egypt .

Working with ZADCO, based Off Shore in ZAKUM field, in the capacity of (production surface operations supervisor). My entitlements were as detailed here below:

·        To supervise activities related to (Crude oil system) :

1.     Surface production operations of oil wells (400 christmas trees of dual deviated, and horizontal completion producers with a potential of 560,000 BOPD on 75 live offshore wellhead platforms).

2.     Crude oil sampling (pressurized & non- - pressurized) on monthly, weekly, and daily basis (> 800 monthly samples). Also, special sampling requirements of (radioactive tracers) applications.

3.     Pigging of sub sea oil and gas lines using conventional mechanical and / or intelligent (smart) pigs, application of post- pigging chemical treatment (> 60 lines) and preparation of (end of job) reports.

4.     Corrosion and scale inhibitors injection systems, using dozing pumps for continuous treatment, (36 corrosion inhibitor units on terminal wellhead platforms) also, utilizing service boats and barges for rig less batch and squeeze treatment & preparation of (end of job) reports.

5.     Follow up of wells performance and data gathering.

6.     Well testing (multi rate test, flow tests, and communication tests) using in situ test separators and/or testing vessels & barges, and preparation of (end of job) reports.

7.     Operation of artificial lifting system & trouble shooting and preparation of (end of job) reports.

8.     Integrity tests of SSSVS (subsurface safety valves) & assessment of new types (DK, DX, self equalizing valves, etc), and preparation of (end of job) reports.

9.     Issuance of all reports related to oil production activities such as (daily production reports, exception reports, oil & gas potential reports, etc).

10.  Rig less stimulation, (reactivation of non-flowing wells by Nitrified Diesel, hydraulic acid fracturing, and corrosion squeeze jobs) and preparation of (end of job) reports.

11.  Preparations of Xmas trees, testing vessels, surface lines, and risers for maintenance activities such as: (repairs, inspection, swapping, re-locating, rig arrivals and departure, hook ups and deck extension construction works, risers and pig traps installations, etc), and issuance of (Hot, cold, entry & radioactive) work permits (PTW).

12.  Construction activities performed by contractors such as installation of new flow lines, risers, pig launchers & receivers, and conduction of the necessary tests such as: (commissioning, integrity, function, and hydro testing) and preparation of (end of job) reports.

13.  Issuance of working procedures, standing instructions and safety guide lines to ensure the safe and sound application of the safety measures and standard practices while working on the off shore well head platforms.

 ·        To supervise activities related to Water injection System( forced water Flooding ) :

1.     Operation of water injection wells using filtered treated seawater (250 Xmas trees with a potential of 800,000 BWPD against 2700 psig of water injection pressure).

2.     Operation of water driven turbine air compressors & electric generators on special wellhead platforms.

3.     Follow up of wells performance, data gathering, injectivity and pressure fall off tests.

4.     Sampling, to ensure quality of the injection water (turbidity, iron content, milli pore, total suspended solids, sulfate reducing bacteria, etc).

5.     Pigging of sub seawater injection lines (> 75 lines), and chemical treatment using biocides (post- pigging application of biocide & corrosion inhibitor).

6.     Issuance of all reports related to water injection activities (daily reports, exception reports, water injection losses reports, potential reports, etc.).

7.     Preparation of Xmas trees & surface facilities for “conversion” operations (back flow & testing) of water injection wells utilizing temporary flexible & rigid connections in preparation of permanent re-completion of water injection wells into oil producers.

8.       Evaluation of (water break through) phenomenon and its effect on the over all potential of the affected oil wells, and the tendency of down hole scale formation.

 ·        To supervise activities related to  Vessels & Equipment

1.     Commissioning, Operation, trouble shooting, and function testing of all vessels (separators, hydrocarbon drain tanks, disposal casings, etc.) and equipment (hydraulic cranes, over head cranes, crude transfer pumps, chemical injection dozing pumps, instrumentation net work) on 75 live off shore wellhead platforms.

2.     Pilot tests of new materials & equipment and issuance of assessment reports.

3.     Modifications and new innovations to enhance the performance of equipment on wellhead platforms and issuance of the assessment reports.

 ·          Technical training:

While working for (ZADCO), I had been entitled to:

1.     Prepare, conduct, and supervise the implementation of the training programs of OJTS (On job trainees) and the newly hired personnel. In that aspect, my duties, included, the following:

a.      Preparation of the training material to match with the training needs and requirements.

b.     Prepare and conduct pre and post courses test s.

c.      Conduct classroom and on spot training (field and sites/workshops).

d.     Prepare training progress and follow up reports.

e.      Conduct induction courses for the newly hired employees.

2.     Prepare and conduct scientific sessions and technical presentations related to oil and gas production activities, such as but not limited to: (measurements of flow of fluids using orifices, zero flaring concept, gas injection & gas lift techniques, maintenance in oil fields, safety aspects during handling sour gas, etc).

·        Special tasks:

1.     To prepare the daily work program of routine & non routine jobs which are to be done by the production team (45 persons), and transportation arrangements to the different working locations (92 wellhead platforms, barges, vessels, rigs, etc).

2.     To supervise the special activities, such as: Preservation, mothballing and cannibalization of surface & subsurface equipment.

3.     To prepare the quarterly & annual appraisal reports of the working personnel (45 persons).

4.     To participate in the preparation of the department Budget (OPEXS), and updating the inventory of the company assets.

5.     Participation in technical meetings, and the specific (HAZOP) studies.

 ·        To supervise activities related to gas injection and  gas lift systems (100 MMSCFPD of sour gas at 5700 psig) :

1.     Daily routine operations & troubleshooting of gas injection and gas lift wells.

 2.     Preparation of step- by- step operating procedures & safety instructions of gas injection / gas lift project.

3.     Dehydration system (Methanol & Glycol injection).

4.     Follow up, monitoring and sampling of gas break through wells.

5.     To study & evaluate the performance of gas injection & gas lift and gas break through wells.

 ·        Wireline and down hole activities:

    I have  good reliable knowledge about Wireline and down hole activities.

1st.  (Sept. , 1976  to  July, 1982)

Working with Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company  (GUPCO), based On Shore in oil and gas fields, western desert, Egypt , in the capacity of (Production section head).

I had been entitled to perform the following duties: 

1.     To supervise oil and gas production operations from naturally flowing and artificially lifted oil producers.

2.     To supervise natural gas production from gas/condensate wells.

3.     To supervise crude oil treatment using heaters and desalters units with the aid of demulsifiers, antifoamers, and scale inhibitors.

4.     To supervise oil storage (Fixed and floating roof storage tanks) and oil transfer lines operations.

5.     To carry out, and supervise different tests on oil & gas wells (routine flow test, Multi rate tests, and deliverability tests on gas wells).

6.     To supervise the operations of artificial lifting systems [electric submersible pumps (ESP, REDA pumps)], and down hole hydraulic pumping system ( KOBE plunger & Jet Pumps).

7.     To supervise the potable (fresh) water production operations using the desalination technique, utilizing (Reverse Osmosis Units).

8.     To prepare & supervise the issuance of all formalities related to the production activities (daily prod. reports, field tests reports, materials requisitions, assessment reports of new equipment, etc.)

9.     To supervise the implementation of corrosion Inhibition program on gas wells using continuous treatment and corrosion Inhibitor squeeze techniques.
